That plan lays out a timeline. This timeline shows the date when you plan to retire. The plan also typically includes how much money you’ll be able to spend in retirement. In his book, Rock Retirement, Roger Whitney suggests that everyone should have a Retirement Masterpiece rather than a retirement plan.

A Retirement Masterpiece is your life as a work of art and not a paint-by-the-numbers art kit. Your life is a complex tapestry. Having a Retirement Masterpiece is a full embrace of all aspects of your life and how to glide from one to the other with purpose.

As mentioned above, Rock Retirement is a great book to help people get their arms around retirement. This book is written by a financial planner, but not in financial-planner speak. In fact, this book contains almost nothing about the calculations that tell you what your magic number for retirement is. This book helps you to see that there is more to life than working for the money. It is about having the life that you want and being sure you have the money to support it.

It’s not as easy as it seems. Most people don’t know where to begin. Consider a conversation that helps get you on the Retirement Masterpiece journey. You have nothing to lose and piece of mind to gain.

Foreman - Four Sometimes Competing Responsibilities
No other position in the construction industry has a bigger impact on field productivity than the Foreman who is leading the crew on front-line. There are four major responsibilities the foreman has that often seem to be competing with each other:
Laws Control the Lesser Man
Growing construction businesses need processes and accountability systems the same way society needs laws, police, courts and jails. As a contractor starts growing leadership needs to put some processes in place to keep things running smooth.
Cash Flow Tip 8 - Subcontractor and Vendor Terms and Pay Schedules
As important as it is for you to have a great Schedule-of-Values (SOV) with your customer, it is equally important to have great terms with your subs and vendors.
